Hot hot hot!

My wonderful daughter has joined the blog for a month meme for August, but unfortunately I can't since I'm fairly busy and don't seem to have enough of time to blog daily. However, the theme this month suggested to write about is "hot" so I decided to continue on writing some more limericks and haikus. Hope you enjoy!


In the summer the sun makes much heat
Causing the glaciers to retreat.
The forecasts do tell
Temps like in hell
Where Satan sits stoking mesquite.


Fahrenheit is high
Celsius is soaring too
It's hard to keep dry

Since I'm really new to this blog thing my daughter suggested I try a meme, so here goes...

Theme - vacations

Limerick

I'm on a vacation called stay
At home in my house every day
The place I do best
To get much needed rest
To go there you don't need much pay.

Haiku

At home I do rest
To fly I need more vigor
I like where I am

Testing, testing, blah blah blah - this is the last time I will say the word "blah", because it is getting on my nerves. I am not a blah person - in fact I am very interesting and colorful - at least I think so.
Does anybody out there like my kitties? Sorry to say the black one died last Aug. 2007. I miss him very much. He was a big beautiful persian that purred like a machine - therefore we named him "Machinka". The other one is a female and her name is Twiggy. When she was young she was very thin - therefore "Twiggy". Actually her full title she Dame Van Twiggle Puss.
Surprisingly she was a stray given to me by a friend who found her stalking around her deck - that was about 8 years ago. She's been my cutie-pie every since. I tried to find her owner but to no avail. Now she is mine! And I love her too! We think she is a Siamese/Persian mix. Oh yes, I had a third kitty - Pixie who also recently died. She was pure white. She was beautiful but truly had a "bitchy" perosonality. Both Machinka and Pixie were going on 15 when they died. Now I am left with 2 - Twiggy and Francesca a muted Calico my daughter picked out about 5 years ago. Well unless you are a cat lover I guess you are getting quite bored with this blog.

Whoever reads this and wants to know that I love cats and dogs and I am an Accountant.

So I guess you could say I love animals and numbers. They are all my friends.

Oh, by the way, I am also a mom.

It is 3 pm and my accounting job is over for the week so I will be heading home soon.

This is my first blog - so I don't know what to say except blah blah goodby.
